About US

We are a multi-site evangelical church (which means that we are part of the mainstream church in the UK), and we are charismatic (which means that we believe that the Holy Spirit is at work today in the same way he was in Biblical times). We are in good relationships with the other churches in Aberdeen and are members of the Evangelical Alliance. Click here to read more about what we believe.

As a multi-site church, we number about 1300 people over eight locations throughout Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire, including an online community. We also have “planted” a number of other churches in the North East of Scotland and beyond.

For 25 years we were called City Church Aberdeen, but in 2019 we changed our name to Catalyst Vineyard Church. The Vineyard Movement is a worldwide family of more than 2,500 churches across 5 continents. All the churches in our movement share the same passion for meeting Jesus in worship, compassion for the poor, and they all cherish the Bible as God’s truth for our lives. It’s our joy to partner with our family around the world as we hunger to see more of God’s kingdom come.

We are one church that meets in many places, gathering in 7 different locations in Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire.  We are passionate about being and speaking the good news of Jesus in the places and spaces where we live, seeing them transformed as we share His goodness.  

Maybe you’ve never been to church before but want to check it out, maybe you’ve just moved to Aberdeen and are looking for a new church, maybe you’re exploring faith and have some questions about Jesus, or maybe you’re just curious to know what church is all about. However you’ve arrived here, we invite you to come as you are, you’re so welcome!
