what is Safeguarding?
Safeguarding means protecting people from harm. It goes beyond simply keeping people safe; it's about actively promoting their well-being and preventing abuse and neglect. For us, this includes:
Protecting children and adults from maltreatment, abuse, and neglect.
Preventing harm to people’s health or development.
Ensuring people grow up or live in safe and effective care with the best outcomes.
Taking action to enable people to have the best life chances and opportunities.
